Cytokeratin 20 Antibody (DA044)

Cytokeratin 20 Antibody (DA044)

Recombinant monoclonal rabbit antibody

Description

Cytokeratin 20 is a 46-kDa intermediate filament protein which reacts primarily with gastric and intestinal epithelium, urothelium, and Merkel cells.1-4 Anti-Cytokeratin 20 is useful in the identification of specific types of these epithelial cells under normal, hyperplastic, and neoplastic conditions.3 Cytokeratin 20 has been detected in various adenocarcinomas, including those of the colon and stomach.5-7 Merkel cell carcinomas have shown reactivity. In contrast, carcinomas of the breast are generally non-reactive.
